The workshop was attended by 17 scientists who presented papers on various aspects of the European Union's actorness in the internal and external dimensions, concerning security and crisis management. Professor Gruszczak presented a paper on "The EU's Actorness in Face of Disruptive Actors: The Case of Terrorist and Extremist Groups", in which he presented the results of the research task "Unraveling disruptive performance of anti-democratic actors" carried out as part of the Future Democracy Lab, a flagship project of the programme Excellence Initiative at the Jagiellonian University.

Professor Gruszczak also took part in a debate organized by prof.
