Agreement on cooperation between the Faculty of International and Political Studies of Jagiellonian University and the Małopolska Police Headquarters in Krakow

On the 11th of January 2019, an agreement was concluded between the Faculty of International and Political Studies of Jagiellonian University and the Małopolska Police Headquarters in Krakow, with the aim of strengthening mutual relations in order to develop scientific research, teaching and educational cooperation. On behalf of the Faculty of International and Political Studies the agreement was signed by the Dean, Professor Zdzisław Mach. On behalf of the Małopolska Police Headquarters, the signature was endorsed by Brigadier General Doctor Krzysztof Pobuta, Voivodeship Commander. The ceremony of signing the agreement was also attended by Professor Artur Gruszczak, head of the National Security Department and Major Rafał Węgiel from the Presidential Department of the Małopolska Police Headquarter.

We are pleased to announce that the Professor Waldemar Michowicz Best Doctoral Dissertation in Political Science Award went to Dr Arkadiusz Nyzio, assistant professor at the Department of National Security, Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations. This prestigious award was granted for the doctoral thesis Transformacja polityki bezpieczeństwa wewnętrznego Polski w latach 1989–1993 [The transformation of Poland’s internal security policy in 1989-1993] prepared under the supervision of Professor Artur Gruszczak and defended in March 2017.
