Dr Agata Mazurkiewicz’s research visit at the Baltic Defence College

Dr Agata Mazurkiewicz visited the Baltic Defence College in Tartu (Estonia) on 28-31 March 2023. The visit was conducted as a part of a research project The “Frontline states”: perspectives on the war from NATO’s Eastern flank, the PeaceRep grant funded by the British Foreign Office.

Representatives of the Department of National Security at the International Studies Association’s Annual Convention in Montreal

Dr. Dominika Dziwisz and Dr. Mateusz Kolaszyński, researchers of the Department of National Security, participated in the International Studies Association's 64th Annual Convention held in Montreal on March 15-18, 2023. The Convention, which explored the theme Real Struggles, High Stakes: Cooperation, Contention, and Creativity, provided a platform for academics, policy experts, practitioners, private sector professionals, and independent researchers from around the world for exchanging ideas and establishing cooperative networks and joint research initiatives.

Prof. dr hab. Dariusz Kozerawski udzielił w dniu 22 marca br. wywiadu dla portalu Onet.pl. W rozmowie z red. Edytą Żemłą prof. Kozerawski przedstawił swoje zdanie na temat zbliżenia Rosji z Chinami w kontekście konfliktu zbrojnego w Ukrainie. W tekście znalazła się również opinia dotycząca wydanego przez MTK w Hadze nakazu aresztowania prezydenta FR Putina w odniesieniu do wpływu tej decyzji na politykę Rosji i samego W. Putina.

The bimonthly journal, New Eastern Europe, released a new issue titled "In the Throes of Crisis” (No1 (LV), January-March 2023), featuring a thematic section called "Lessons of cybersecurity from the war in Ukraine". This section delves into various aspects of cybersecurity, with a focus on Russian activities in Ukrainian cyberspace. Dr. Dominika Dziwisz and Dr. Błażej Sajduk, who received the ID.UJ grant for the publication, invited authors from Georgia, Poland, Moldova, and the United States to contribute to the thematic section. The resulting publication features their collective work.
