The 3rd Jagiellonian Interdisciplinary Security Conference is a continuation of a series of conferences aiming to stimulate an interdisciplinary debate on contemporary aspects of the complex security environment. The 2nd Jagiellonian Interdisciplinary Security Conference held in 2018 discussed dominant patterns of behaviour and performance in the turbulent global security system. The 1st Jagiellonian Interdisciplinary Security Conference, organised in 2015 in collaboration with the International Studies Association (ISA) as the Jagiellonian University Security Conference – Interdisciplinary Approaches to Security in the Changing World, brought together 150 researchers and practitioners representing over 100 institutions from 26 countries around the world.

The European Counter-Terrorism Jean Monnet Research Network (EUCTER) at the University of South Wales organised a three-day multi-thematic conference dedicated to contemporary security threats. The last part of the web-conference, scheduled for 16 June 2021, concerned hybrid threats and hybrid warfare. Professor Artur Gruszczak, Head of the National Security Department, took part in the session „Order and Disorder: Political Interference, Disinformation and Resilience” with a paper on „Enhancing the EU’s resilience to counter hybrid threats: Is there a role for intelligence cooperation?”.

W dniu 7 maja 2021 roku dr Agata Mazurkiewicz wzięła udział w konferencji „Civil Engagement and Participation in Defence” organizowanej przez słowacki think tank Strategic Policy Institute (STRATPOL). Dr Mazurkiewicz była jednym z ekspertów w ramach panelu „Reserves, Active Reserves, and other Volunteers Based Armed Formations”, gdzie wspólnie z dr. Maciejem Stępką z Instytutu Studiów Europejskich UJ przedstawiła prezentację na temat wykorzystania Wojsk Obrony Terytorialnej podczas pandemii COVID-19 do budowania rezyliencji
