Katedra Bezpieczeństwa Narodowego UJ zaprasza na wykład nt. „W poszukiwaniu synergii. Na czym polega globalne przywództwo polityczne?”, w ramach cyklu wykładów online pod hasłem „Leadership/Przywództwo”. Wykład odbędzie się 20 maja br. w godzinach 18:00-19:30 na platformie MS Teams, w zespole Webinar KBN. Wygłosi go dr hab. Małgorzata Zachara-Szymańska, prof. UJ z Wydziału Studiów Międzynarodowych i Politycznych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego.

Professor Artur Gruszczak, Chair of National Security, took part on the 21st of April in a webinar at the Catholic University in Leuven (Belgium) devoted to the protection of the external borders of the European Union and the role of the Frontex agency. Upon invitation from students of International Relations, Professor Gruszczak presented the legal and organizational framework of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency – Frontex, as well as its tasks and operational activities. A brief presentation was followed by a Q & A session. Professor Gruszczak answered questions concerning the relations between Frontex and the authorities of the Member States. He also commented on the recent accusations of violation of international law during Frontex’s joint operations in the Mediterranean Sea region.

On March 18, 2021 another lecture in the "Leadership" series organized by The Department of National Security was launched online. Dr. Steven Horsley from the School of Business and Leadership at the University of Charleston, West Viriginia, USA was a guest lecturer. The topic of his presentation was: "System Leadership: Its Role in a Collaborative Environment".
