Agreement on cooperation between the Faculty of International and Political Studies of Jagiellonian University and the Military Institute of Armament Technology in Zielonka

Upon the initiative of the National Security Department of the Jagiellonian University, on the 12th of February 2020, an agreement was concluded between the Faculty of International and Political Studies of Jagiellonian University and the Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU) in Zielonka, with the aim of strengthening mutual relations in order to develop scientific research, teaching and educational cooperation. On behalf of the Faculty of International and Political Studies the agreement was signed by the Rector’s Plenipotentiary, acting Dean, Professor Andrzej Porębski. On behalf of the Military Institute of Armament Technology, the signature was endorsed by Coloner Doctor Rafał Bazela, WITU Director. The ceremony of signing the agreement was also attended by Professor Artur Gruszczak, head of the National Security Department of the Jagiellonian University and Professor Dariusz Kozerawski from the National Security Department.

Fulbright scholarship for Robert Siudak

We are extremely pleased to announce that Robert Siudak, MA, a Doctoral Student at the Department of National Security, Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations, received the Fulbright Junior Research Award for a research scholarship at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. The Council for International Exchange of Scholars, which has administered the Fulbright Scholar Program acknowledged the value of the research project „Cybersecurity discourses and their policy implications. A case study of Poland”. This project is related to the doctoral dissertation „Cybersecurity discourses: The processes of the social construction of threats from information and communication technologies in Poland” under the supervision of Professor Artur Gruszczak

PISA Award goes to Dr Agata Mazurkiewicz

We are extremely pleased to announce that Dr Agata Mazurkiewicz, an Assistant Professor at the Department of National Security, received the award of the Polish International Studies Association (PTSM) for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of international relations defended in 2018.
