On June 6-7, 2024, employees and students of the Department of National Security (Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University) under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Dariusz Kozerawski organized the first international scientific conference on "Conflicts and crisis response mechanisms in the international security environment" in Krakow. The partner entities of this project were: the Institute of International and Security Studies (University of Wrocław), the Brotherhood of Veterans in Poland, the Association of Veterans of UN Peacekeeping Missions (Unit No. 33 in Krakow), the Association of the Wounded and Injured in Missions Abroad, IMOSPHINX ACADEMY from Belgium and Western Europe for Soldiers of Peace Association.

Dr Agata Mazurkiewicz, a member of the Department of National Security at the University of Jagiellonian, took part in the prestigious International Forum for Peace, Security and Prosperity held in Palermo from the 17th to the 20th of March 2024. The theme of this year's Forum was "The Impact of Contemporary Tensions, Conflicts and War on Large International Institutions". Dr Mazurkiewicz was part of a panel dedicated to regional organizations organized by the United States Military Academy West Point, Norwich University, and the University of Stellenbosch.

Z przyjemnością informujemy, że w najnowszym numerze „Rocznika Bezpieczeństwa Międzynarodowego” (2023, vol. 17, nr 2) ukazało się sprawozdanie z V Jagiellońskiej Konferencji Bezpieczeństwa zatytułowanej „Wojna i zmiana w środowisku międzynarodowym”, która odbyła się na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim w dniach 25-26 września 2023 r. Autorem sprawozdania jest dr Tomasz Pawłuszko z Uniwersytetu Opolskiego.
