The energy resources found in the Eastern Mediterranean may create a chance to ensure more security on energy policies if Europe manages to resolve conflicts with regional actors.

The European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) is one of the leading space programs of the European Union, ahead of reaching full operational capability by the independent European navigation satellite system Galileo. Since 2011, the main area of EGNOS application has been air transport, although much wider economic and social opportunities are being promoted. At the same time, it should be noted that the project is a political initiative and constitutes a high-quality export product. Given the above, the analysis provides basic information on the current functionality and outlines the political dimension of the development and dissemination of this EU flagship project.
