Konflikty zbrojne – Stabilizacja – Weterani” przygotowana pod redakcją naukową, jednego z jej współautorów - prof. dr. hab. Dariusza Kozerawskiego (pracownika Katedry Bezpieczeństwa Narodowego, INPiSM UJ).

International conference organized by the Department of National Security of the Jagiellonian University on the occasion of World Veterans Day

On June 6-7, 2024, employees and students of the Department of National Security (Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University) under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Dariusz Kozerawski organized the first international scientific conference on "Conflicts and crisis response mechanisms in the international security environment" in Krakow. The partner entities of this project were: the Institute of International and Security Studies (University of Wrocław), the Brotherhood of Veterans in Poland, the Association of Veterans of UN Peacekeeping Missions (Unit No. 33 in Krakow), the Association of the Wounded and Injured in Missions Abroad, IMOSPHINX ACADEMY from Belgium and Western Europe for Soldiers of Peace Association.

A. Tyszkiewicz - The Tallinn Mechanism: a Relevant Cybernetic Support for the Ukrainian Critical Infrastructure

Established in December 2023, the Tallinn Mechanism has become an institutional response collecting a group of NATO allies and partners from the European Union and the private sector actively supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russia's aggressive actions infringing Ukraine’s digital security interests. Attacks by Russian hacker groups linked to GRU military intelligence resulted in the working out of various procedures aiming at a direct and effective response to serious cyber incidents. Consequently, these procedures seek to repair damage caused by cyber attacks and develop long-term capabilities of response, defense and deterrence, including after a prospective end of warfare activities.

Parliamentary intelligence oversight committees are one of the classic forms of intelligence oversight. After the parliamentary elections of October 15, 2023, the Committee for Special Services (Komisja do spraw Służb Specjalnych, KSS) of the 10th term of the Sejm was established. The commentary presents the first months of the Committee's activity and focuses primarily on the rapid changes in membership and chairmanship of the KSS.
